It’s Too Loud ‘Cause I’m Too Old

Have you ever read a funny post and commented “LOL” only to notice that you’re not really laughing? You know you have, and here’s a chart to back up my claim.
(As EVERYONE knows, EVERYTHING on the internet is true, and if it’s in the form of a pie chart it’s scientific even.)
BTW, I really do LOL IRL. Pony Girl wishes I would LOTI. She thinks I LOL too L, I mean loud. She’s entering the “My Mom is Like, So TOTALLY Embarrassing” phase, which makes me want to do anything but LOL.
*sigh*
The truth is it makes me want to embarrass her even MORE, but for her sake I try to restrain myself.
Most of the time.
She’s not here right now, so while I’m reading the posts over at Absolutely Bananas I can LOL. I might even leave a comment that I’m LOL-ing.
But if I’m not really LOL-ing please don’t take it personally…and don’t blame me. I’m just trying to be a Good Mom.

On my facebook I have a piece of flair that says “When you type LOL I bet you’re not really laughing” … makes me smile. So let’s see … I’m not quite LOL, but this did make me SOL … snicker out loud

I’m a pretty vocal person…so yes, I really do LOL! I’m afraid my sons are going to be in therapy when they are older…..”Our main memory of when we were young was Mom laughing out loud at her laptop all day long…”

My husband lovingly tells me that when I laugh really hard, I actually cackle. If I type COL, would anyone know what I’m talking about?

I loved this…I write ‘Haha’ instead of LOL because there’s something about the stigma of acronyms online that make me wanna vomit. But OMG I loved this post. TTYL!

I’m a total sound effects kinda guy, so LOL doesn’t really cut it for me. I feel like I am saying Lolle. I have to type Heh if I chuckle, hahahaha if I’m laughing pleasantly and BWAHAHAHA if I’m laughing 2/3 with you and 1/3 at you. Oh, and HAR if I’m laughing like a pirate.
